    About Us

Benedictine supports children and adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism so they can achieve their greatest potential.

With the main campus located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Benedictine has been supporting children and adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism for 65 years. The year-round educational program is one of only 22 nationwide to earn a two-year accreditation from the National Commission for Accreditation of Special Education Services (NCASES). This program includes home-like living and learning options on the Ridgely, Maryland campus, for children ages 5 to 21. The Adult Services Program offers residential, day, and vocational services for transitional youth and adults, ages 22 to 70+. Benedictine has 22 group homes located in Caroline, Talbot, and Anne Arundel Counties and the Easton Community Services & Training Center prepares students and adults to enter the workforce and collaborates with local public schools to provide services to their special education students through the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) Program. Donations are essential and provide funding for Benedictine's programs, quality care, staff, and facilities. https://benschool.org/foundation/
